New Flats in Thornton Heath, Croydon, London
We acquired this site, identifying the potential of conversion to self-contained apartments based on our previous experiences. We successfully gained planning permission for three flats from LB Croydon.
Due to number of objections, we had to go to the Planning Committee to fight our case for approval. Aspire’s Director, Farhan Aziz, presented the application himself in front of the committee, resulting in a unanimous decision in our favour. Furthermore, Aspire successfully negotiated removal of restrictive covenants with LB Croydon.
With permission in hand, we expanded the house in all directions, adding double-storey extensions at the rear and sides and also a large loft-conversion.
Given our usual high spec finish, all apartments were sold at asking prices or above within weeks for a very healthy profit.
Aspire identifies Croydon as one of the key focus areas for our developments and Portfolio projects. With the imminent arrival of flagship Westfield development and other significant investment plans, Croydon is set to grow in the years to come.
